Training and support for remote learning

Webex is the Department’s preferred tool for video conferencing. Students can attend online classes from home using any internet-connected computer or mobile device. School leaders, teachers and support staff can use WebEx to attend virtual meetings and share documents and links.

Daily from Monday March 30, there will be an Introductory webinar offered at 10am and an advanced webinar at 2pm.

WebEx have a range of Department-specific resources for teachers, along with tips for using WebEx in the event of a school closure.


ClickView hosts a wide range of videos from popular films to documentaries and Australian made educational videos and mini clips for all Victorian government schools. Teachers can access or develop their own playlists to be shared with students.

  • Find out how you can use ClickView to support continuity of learning in the event of school closures. 
  • Victorian Government Primary school teachers can also register for a free webinar to learn how ClickView can be used as a teaching and learning tool in your classroom to support engagement and drive student learning outcomes. Teachers can also access area specific webinars.

Stile Education

Stile Education offers a library of online interactive Science lessons for Levels 7-10 of the Victorian Curriculum: Science, developed in partnership with Cosmos magazine and the CSIRO. Students can access individual lessons or whole learning sequences that have been assigned to them by their teacher.

O365 supports teachers to create their own classrooms, share lessons, create learning activities, collaborate in real-time, assess student learning and provide personalised feedback to students. GSuite for Education

G-Suite for Education includes a number of cloud-based tools that support real time collaboration between teachers and students. G Suite applications include Google Classroom, Drive, Documents, Forms, Sites, Sheets and Slides.

Digital Learning and Teaching, Victoria (Webinars)

Digital Learning and Teaching Victoria (DLTV) exists to provide leadership, services, programs and resources that support excellence in digital learning. With unprecedented numbers of teachers working from home and teaching online, DLTV is offering free teacher webinars that build skills in successfully working with students online.

The first in their online teaching webinar series, What makes for good online teaching?, launches on April 22, 2020 at 3:45pm.
