STEM Design Challenges
Dates: Thursday 22 OR Friday 23 March 2018

To further enhance the linkage of STEM learning within the Driving Learning educational program, the Australian Grand Prix Corporation are introducing three STEM Design Challenges for schools to incorporate into their learning programs in the lead up to the Formula 1® 2018 Rolex Australian Grand Prix:
- Pit Lane Robot (Years P – 2)
- Fastest Car on the Track (Years 3 – 6)
- Travel Smart (Years 7 – 10)
These Challenges, which include STEM learning experiences and assessment tools, have been designed by expert teachers, allowing schools to embed them into their existing school curriculum. They offer students practical problem-solving design challenges that culminate with a special visit to the Formula 1® 2018 Rolex Australian Grand Prix, where they can see how their solutions relate to real-life situations.

Schools must register online HERE to qualify for the challenge prize pack. Winning schools will be presented at the Industry and Innovation Precinct on Friday 23 March at 10.40am.
Teacher Breakfast Event
Date: Friday 23 March @ 9:30am
Australian Grand Prix Corporation, together with Department of Education and Training would like to invite all teachers to the inaugural Teacher Breakfast event held within the Industry and Innovation Precinct. This will be a valuable opportunity for teachers to network and discover how to best utilise their school excursion to encourage students to take on STEM learning. Talent from the world of motorsports will be attending to share the importance of STEM research and application in their sport.
