Secondary School Software Suite

The Department is currently updating its eduSTAR Secondary School Software Suite to provide Victorian government secondary schools with comprehensive, up-to-date digital tools and software to support the implementation of the Victorian Curriculum and achievement of Education State targets.

From the start of Term 3, 2017 Victorian government secondary school teachers and students in Years 7 to 12 will have access to the following software.

Adobe Creative Cloud Apps and Design and Web K-12 Collection

Secondary Schools who have opted-in to access the Adobe Creative Cloud Apps and Design and Web K-12 Collection can now deploy this software to their school and student-owned devices. If your school did not opt in – it’s not too late, please contact Brooke McNamara: mcnamara.brooke.l@edumail.vic.gov.au

The Department has licensed this software for secondary schools from the start of Term 3, 2017 until the end of March 2019. (Use of the software after this time will require a new Agreement.)

WHY WOULD YOU USE THIS SOFTWARE?

This software can be used to support the implementation of the Victorian Curriculum, VET and VCE. It can be used across a range of Learning Areas for the creation of documents, animations, audio, videos and websites. In addition, this software has specific relevance to learning and teaching of The Arts, Technologies and Critical and Creative Thinking.

HOW DO YOU ACCESS THIS SOFTWARE?

Instructions have been provided to all school’s Specialist Technicians on how to deploy this software to school-owned and student BYO devices through the eduSTAR Software Catalogue: www.edustar.vic.edu.au/software

New versions of the eduSTAR Secondary School Software image (v7.1) will be issued over Term 3 and will contain Acrobat Pro and Photoshop by default.

Due to the size of the software, the other titles have been split into packages for download.
