Virtual Classroom – National Privacy Week

Keeping your online self-safe – virtual classroom

  • Audience: Years 3, 4 and 5
  • Friday 18 May, 9:30am
  • Tuesday 22 May, 9:30am (repeat)

Celebrating the National Privacy week, this session is a call to action for students to keep their online self-safe by creating and updating their personal approach to online safety.

The online presentation will assist students to:

  • apply digital information security practices, and
  • apply personal security protocols

With the help of classroom teachers, the presentation will feature polling and interactive questions.

This 40min presentation will be a guided experience for classrooms with complementary resources aligned to the theme. Other related resources are available from the website.

Victorian Indigenous Engineering Winter School 7-14 July

The Victorian Indigenous Engineering Winter School is on again for 2018!

Following the successful 2016 and 2017 programs, four Victorian universities are again collaborating to bring you the Victorian Indigenous Engineering Winter School (VIEWS).

VIEWS is a week-long program offered by The University of Melbourne, RMIT University, Swinburne University and Monash University where students experience first-hand the work of engineers, meet Indigenous engineering professionals, discover pathways into engineering and explore four university campuses.

This is an exciting initiative that will change your students perspective on engineering and open up a world of possibilities.

Applications for this program are now open and close on Friday May 25th at 5pm.

Places in this program are strictly limited, so get in early as this is an opportunity not to be missed!

Adobe Have a Voice: Making a Difference

The aim of this project is to support FISO through building a positive climate for learning, with a focus on Practice Principle 3; Student voice, agency and leadership empower students and build school pride.

The task is to work as a group of students to produce a video story or animation and selected works will be aired in the end of year showcase.
